The Israeli lacrosse club has decided to take a gamble by putting on a game of basketball.
The Jerusalem Post reported on Sunday that the Knesset approved a bill that will allow Israelis to play the sport of basketball in the country.
The law, sponsored by a Knessethan member, would allow Israeli players to play in national competitions.
The bill was adopted by the lower house of parliament in a vote of 119-11.
The bill was first proposed in March.
The Knessetz also approved a law that would grant an additional 10 days of citizenship for Israeli athletes who are born in the Palestinian territories, and allow Israeli athletes to take part in national team sports tournaments.
The two bills passed in the Kashrut and National Council chambers on Sunday.
